Steel and concrete activities progress at Louisville VA Medical Center
Louisville, KY - The joint venture of Walsh Construction and Turner Construction Company, performing work as Walsh-Turner JV II, is delivering the new $900 million Louisville VA Medical Center. Steel and concrete activities are progressing across the site, for the project that includes a 970,000-square-foot medical center, two parking structures, a regional laundry facility and a 40,000-square-foot central utility plant.
Construction progress updates for May 2023 include:
- Concrete deck placement for the western portion of the main hospital.
- Pre-cast concrete erected on the North Parking Garage.
- Steel erection and placement of metal decking in the main hospital area.
- The installation of underground utilities across the site.
