Walsh Construction completes Park Boulevard Phase 3B Apartments in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood
Chicago, Illinois – Walsh Construction joined the Chicago Housing Authority, Stateway Services, Chicago Alderman Pat Dowell (3rd Ward) and community and project leaders to unveil the new Park Boulevard Phase 3B apartments in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood.
Built by the joint venture of Walsh Construction and GMA Construction Group, and designed by Johnson & Lee Architects, the completed project delivers two companion five-story buildings each with 40 residential units. Sixty of the development's 80 total units are dedicated to affordable housing. This new construction was part of a broader residential development plan to replace the former Chicago Housing Authority's Stateway Gardens housing development. Walsh Construction and GMA broke ground in February 2022.
The $35 million project and its two buildings each feature a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom apartment layouts, along with 23 exterior parking spaces and 11 interior parking spaces, a mailroom, and elevator.
Walsh Construction was also responsible for two earlier phases of the Park Boulevard residential development, completing phases 2A in 2012 and 2B in 2015.
