This 361,000-square-foot new data center addition provided upgrades to existing infrastructure in order to meet a Tier 3-plus performance classification, as well as achieve a maximum of 125 watts per square foot. The new addition was built to house new generators, switchgear and UPS equipment and expand whitespace to 68,000 square feet of raised access floor. Renovation within the existing building was mainly limited to reconstruction of existing spaces and upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems. A fast track schedule included pouring foundations during winter and building work platforms to achieve dual work zones in critical spaces.
