Orland Park Main Street Parking Structure Opens to Public
ORLAND PARK, IL - The new Main Street Parking Structure in downtown Orland Park is open to the public. The multi-level public parking facility, built by Walsh Construction, includes more than 540 parking spaces and 12,000 square feet of additional commercial space.
Construction of the structure was completed in one year, and services the general public and an adjacent medical building for the University of Chicago. The garage sits on a two-acre site and features a brick veneer facade with decorative metal accents. The project included 897 pieces of precast, with crews installing 15 pieces per day.
"The Village of Orland Park is redeveloping their downtown area, and this project will be a cornerstone for its expected growth," said Project Manager Leonard Green. "This is more than a parking structure, it's a centralized destination that provides instant access to business, entertainment, as well as adjacent University of Chicago medical offices."
The structure is currently the second largest development within the Triangle and is expected to play a major role in revitalizing the local downtown economy.
