Walsh Construction Achieves No. 1 Midwest Contractor Ranking by ENR
CHICAGO, IL - Walsh Construction holds the top-ranking position above all contractors in the Engineering News-Record Midwest 2017 Top Contractors List. Published annually, the list ranks general contractors, both publicly and privately held, based on construction contracting-specific revenue.
With over $1.6 billion in Midwest revenue reported for 2016, Walsh Construction performed a variety of high-profile work across the building, transportation and water markets in the region. The company’s largest project of the past year was the Ohio River Bridges East End Crossing, a new 8.5-mile roadway that connects the eastern edge of suburban Louisville and an area just east of Jeffersonville, Ind. with its centerpiece 2,500-foot cable-stay bridge reaching across the Ohio River.
Additional projects include the Zoo Interchange in Milwaukee, Wis., the Ohio River Bridges Downtown Crossing in Louisville, Ky., 1001 South State Street residential high-rise in Chicago, Northwestern University’s Mudd Hall in Evanston, Ill., Chicago Riverwalk and major renovations to the Ann Arbor Wastewater Treatment Plant in Ann Arbor, Mich.
