Archer Western’s Brad Sanders Named Construction Professional of the Year

PHOENIX – The AZ Water Association unanimously selected Brad Sanders of Archer Western as its Construction Professional of the Year. The award recognizes Sanders' significant contributions to the water/wastewater industry, the AZ Water Association, Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

Sanders serves as a program manager overseeing Archer Western's southwest water and wastewater construction operations. With over 20 years of experience, Brad has managed projects for numerous Arizona municipalities. His collective value of work exceeds $250 million in Scottsdale, AZ alone, and includes the CAP Water Treatment Plant Expansion, the Chaparral Water Treatment Plant, and the expansion of the Advanced Water Treatment Facility. Throughout his career, Brad has coordinated teams to work collaboratively with stakeholders to finalize design, develop cost models, and keep projects on track to deliver safe and high-quality results.

"Brad believes in building quality facilities and long-lasting relationships," said Roy Epps, senior vice president of water/wastewater at Archer Western, "From sponsoring community events to recruiting new staff, Brad prides himself on developing people and programs that enhance and educate our industry."

Sanders is a devoted member of the AZ Water Association, the Water Environmental Foundation and the Design-Build Institute of America. His passion for clean water was the catalyst behind Arizona's Pints For People fundraiser, benefitting Water For People – a subcommittee of the AZ Water Association – whose purpose is to bring water and sanitation to every family, every school, and every clinic in which it works. In its inaugural year, the event raised over $14,000 for the non-profit organization.

The AZ Water Association is composed of 2,700 water/wastewater professionals dedicated to preserving and enhancing Arizona's water environment. AZ Water also serves as the Arizona section of the AWWA and the Arizona member association of the WEF.
