Nebraska Gov. Ricketts tours Archer Western progress at new plastic molding facility
COLUMBUS, NE - Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts visited Becton Dickinson’s new plastic molding facility, a $60 million project being constructed by Archer Western. The project will produce a massive add-on to Becton Dickinson’s Columbus, Neb. facility, and it is reported to become one of the largest and most sophisticated plastic molding plants in the world.

Construction is on schedule, and the Archer Western team is currently working on the exterior structure, roof, and pouring concrete. Crews are making the add-on water tight as sixty-six plastic molding machines will operate within the 69,000 square-foot structure.
Ricketts applauded Becton Dickinson’s investment in Nebraska and the economic stimulation the project will bring to the community. Upon completion, this facility is expected to bring more than 100 jobs to the area.
The facility is anticipated to be fully operational by 2021.
