CHICAGO - The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in North America, has taken the pledge to join the Associated General Contractors' Culture of CARE program to further promote welcoming workplace environments for staff, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.
By taking the pledge, The Walsh Group continues its commitment to uphold the belief that every individual has the right to a work environment that is free from harassment, hazing and bullying. The Walsh Group also pledges to continue taking action to provide every employee the opportunity to reach their full potential by building a culture that is diverse, safe, welcoming and inclusive.
The Culture of CARE program is centered around the following principles:
• Commit to hire and pay based on skill and experience regardless of ethnicity, gender, nationality, race, religion or sexual orientation.
• Attract prospective employees by creating inclusive workplaces that are free from harassment, hazing and bullying.
• Retain high-performing employees by identifying and removing barriers to advancement.
• Empower every employee to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
