The Walsh Group achieves top rankings in Water, Transportation and Building markets
The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in the United States, has achieved multiple rankings across Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2021 Top Contractors List. The Walsh Group, operating as Walsh Construction and Archer Western, is listed an an industry leader in numerous Water, Transportation and Building categories, including a No. 1 Ranking as the largest Water Treatment Plant and Desalination Plant Builder in the United States.

Among the vast collection of rankings, The Walsh Group continues its No. 1 ranking as the Largest Water Treatment and Desalination Plant Contractor, a ranking held since 2014. The Walsh Group's Water and Wastewater Division are listed atop the industry with prominent projects like Bois d'Arc Lake Reservoir in Fannin County, Tex., Thomas Groundwater Treatment Facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., Quarles Water Treatment Plant Expansion in Marietta, Ga. and Big Creek Water Reclamation Plant Expansion in Roswell, Ga.

The Walsh Group has been a consistent leader in the transportation market as well with top tier-rankings in bridge, highway and mass transit and rail. The firm's transportation work stretches across the United States with the I-395 Signature Bridge Project in Miami, the Chicago Transit Authority's $2 billion Red-Purple Line Modernization in Chicago, Merchants Bridge reconstruction in St. Louis, Gateway Expressway in Tampa and the Hilltop Tacoma Link Extension in Tacoma, Wash.
“There's a tremendous amount of opportunity for bridge, highway and transit contractors; every corner of the country is exploring ways to enhance their infrastructure," said Transportation President David Casey. The company's most notable jumps in the 2021 rankings are represented by it's Airport and Multi-Unit Residential Building sectors, at No. 3 and No. 7 respectively. The Walsh Group is part of the joint venture completing the new Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport as well as the new Terminal D Expansion and High C Gates projects at DFW Airport. The company's multi-unit residential portfolio of work has included Salesforce Tower Chicago, AMLI Fountain Place in Dallas, Trailside Student Housing in Seattle and the renovation of Tribune Tower in Chicago.
