The Walsh Group to build new B-21 Hangar at Ellsworth AFB
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District has awarded The Walsh Group's federal program, Walsh Federal LLC, with a $131.7 million Military Construction contract for a new B-21 Hangar for the United States Air Force at Ellsworth AFB.
This project will provide a new two-bay hangar with ‘paint booth’ type functionality to support B-21 weapons system maintenance and operations. The approximately 90,000-square-foot facility will include administrative and support spaces, in addition to airfield paving, site features, and infrastructure. This is the first military construction project awarded supporting the B-21 at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota.
