Walsh Construction begins building renovations for the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society Children’s Clinic
OAK PARK, IL – Walsh Construction joined the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society, a member-driven health and social service organization, at a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the beginning of building renovations at 28 W. Madison Street. IWS members and community leaders gathered to celebrate the beginning of a construction project that will provide more than 13,000 square feet of space for clinical operations, community meetings and other programming services.
The construction project will add a new clinic space and six dental suites, along with exam, sterilization and treatment rooms. A fully renovated second floor will be dedicated to new office space for the organization that hosted over 40 health profession students who completed clinical rotation at the society's Children's Clinic.
Walsh Construction will provide general contracting services, along with Legat Architects as the project designer. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2021.
