The Walsh Group promotes Philip Spittler to Vice President of Major Healthcare Projects
Chicago, IL - The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in North America, has announced the promotion of Philip Spittler to Vice President of Major Healthcare Projects.
As Vice President, Spittler will provide executive leadership over major healthcare projects and pursuits. His responsibilities will include collaborative strategic planning with owners and design partners, monitoring project progress and supervising and reviewing management systems and staff. Spittler will be based out of The Walsh Group's Chicago headquarters and will report to Vice President of Healthcare Tom Caplis.

"Since he joined Walsh nine years ago, Philip’s master planning expertise, attention-to-detail and inclusive leadership style has helped guide our management teams towards successful outcomes during our most challenging ventures."
Spittler has more than 43 years of experience in construction and nine years with The Walsh Group. He previously served as Director of Pursuits while also evolving into project executive level responsibilities. Most recently, Spittler provided leadership on multiple projects at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, including the new $1.7 billion inpatient hospital, as well as the new parking garage and central sterile supply building. Additional projects include VA Palo Alto Polytrauma/Blind Rehabilitation Center, VA Loma Linda Ambulatory Care Center, VA Bay Pines Mental Health Center and the redevelopment of the Old Cook County Hospital building.
