Archer Western receives Carolinas AGC Community Impact Award
Archer Western was recognized with a 2023 Community Impact Award from Carolinas AGC. Archer Western, along with joint venture partner United Infrastructure Group and the I-26 Reconstruction team in Irmo, South Carolina, have been proud to support Screaming Eagles Special Needs Athletics and the development of their "Field of Dreams."
Over the course of ten weekends, a team of heavy equipment operators and project management and administrative staff from Archer-United volunteered site development services for recreational baseball and soccer fields; completing 17 acres of site clearing and grubbing, grading and excavation, and placement of more than 12,000 cubic yards of fill material.
Archer Western was selected for the award as a Carolinas AGC member company that is making significant contributions to their communities through time, actions, talents, dedication, and resources.
Screaming Eagles Special Needs Athletics is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of over one hundred student athlete volunteers who attend schools in the Midlands area of South Carolina. The goal of the Screaming Eagles Athletic team is to provide an environment of inclusion for all of their special needs athletes and promote community involvement.
Carolinas AGC (CAGC) is a construction trade association made up of contractors and construction-related firms that perform work in North Carolina and South Carolina. CAGC is a chapter of the AGC of America (AGC) and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA).
