Walsh Construction completed the 100,000-square-foot expansion of the Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center that will bring significantly improved patient care and treatment capacity to the hospital. The project also included the extension of the hospital’s East Tower, with the construction of two additional floors that will house 36 advanced patient care rooms. Key improvements of the expansion also included incorporating 22,000 square feet dedicated to modern operating rooms and recovery spaces, specifically designed to facilitate cutting-edge surgical procedures. These new facilities will support a range of innovative treatments, including robotic surgeries and minimally invasive techniques, allowing the medical center to offer some of the most advanced care options available.
