The Sherman Replacement Hospital includes a six-story patient tower, a two-story diagnostic and treatment center, a cancer center and an emergency department with 255 private patient beds and support services. The project site totals 154 acres. The hospital's design features universal, same-handed patient rooms for improved operational efficiency and safety. The project also includes a 15-acre geothermal lake that was excavated and serves as the energy source for a campus geothermal heating/cooling system. The facility was constructed with systems and equipment to support digital imaging, electronic medical records and other high-tech methods to be implemented to make the facility more efficient.
