Walsh Logistics procured, purchased, delivered, and installed furnishings and medical equipment for the new emergency department. Scope of work included: Furnish and install new waiting room furniture, task chairs, guest chairs, nurse stations and all remaining loose furniture for the new Emergency Department. WL coordinated the delivery, utility rough-in, in-wall blocking and all other work for a quality installation.
This project included the demolition of an existing five-story structure to make way for a new, 39,803 SF emergency department at Rush Oak Park Hospital.
The scope included a two-story structure including nine acute care exam rooms, eight quick-care exam rooms, two behavioral health rooms, two isolation rooms, centralized team station and support space. The project required renovation of the existing hospital at connection points. The new emergency department building was designed for three future levels of vertical expansion and includes the relocation of the existing medical gas farm. The scope also included a new ambulance canopy off Madison Street for ambulance patients and a new patient drop-off canopy and drive off of Maple Avenue for walk-in patients.
