The Interventional Radiology (IR) and Computed Tomography (CT) project is a multi-phased renovation project in the active Rush Oak Park Hospital. Walsh Construction and Walsh Logistics teamed up to provide turn key services on this integrated design-build outfitting project. The first phase included replacing the existing floor mounted modality with a new ceiling mounted modality. The team overcame the challenges installing this modality in a room not designed to support these loads. Project included new finishes and upgrades throughout the space.
The CT phase includes a new dual energy CT in anticipation of the completion of the new Emergency Department. Walsh purchased the new CT and provided full management including installation, testing and training of this new technology for Rush. Walsh collaborated with Rush to provide a new waiting room and bathroom for this new suite without increasing the contract costs and without value engineering previous scope.
