This design-build project consists of adding both elevated and at-grade express lanes along 118th Avenue between I-275 and US-19 and along 118th Avenue to 49th Street. I-275 will also be widened to create express tolled lanes from south of Gandy Boulevard to 4th Street North. Bridges and flyovers at US-19, I-275 and 49th Street will be constructed as well. The Gateway Expressway project will change the existing roadway system to enhance safety, add capacity, and improve mobility.
