The reconstruction of 6.65 miles of Route 22/322 in the Lewistown Narrows is part of the overall 10-mile project. The project included a bifurcated highway with westbound lanes elevated above eastbound lanes through much of the project, with two 12-foot lanes in each direction. Nine reinforced concrete retaining walls were constructed totaling more than 8,000 feet, along with two mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls totaling 14,820 feet.
