The I-285/I-20 East Interchange project includes major improvements to one of the region’s most heavily traveled transportation corridors. The $589 million project will reconstruct key interchange connections, add lanes on both highways, build new ramps, and replace multiple bridges to improve traffic flow through an area long recognized as one of the country’s most congested bottlenecks.
Delivered by East Interchange Builders through a design-build-finance delivery method, the project is designed to reduce congestion, improve safety, and decrease travel times for drivers traveling through the I-285 and I-20 corridor. Once complete, the improvements will support more reliable regional mobility and strengthen a critical connection for commuters, freight movement, and surrounding communities.
