The Central Florida Commuter Rail Transit System, known as SunRail, runs along 61 miles of existing CSX freight tracks through the Orlando area. This phase of the project is 31 miles long and serves 12 stations running from DeBary to Sand Lake. The scope of the project includes sub-ballast for track bed, reconstruction of roadway crossings, construction of 12 station platforms, a vehicle storage and maintenance facility that includes an operations control center and a service and inspection building, 96 at-grade railroad crossings and 115 feet of bridge replacement.
