Located in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, the project transformed a nearly 100-year-old station and fully replaced its aged elevated track structure. Construction work began in late 2014. Since then, our project team replaced more than 2,200 feet of Red and Purple Line tracks and delivered modernized upgrades including new escalators, wider stairwells, larger platforms and ADA compliant elevators. The final milestone of the project was the restoration of the 1923 Gerber Building that serves as the historical face of the station.
