The Walsh Group Welcomes Paul Carter as Senior Vice President of the Southeast Region
CHICAGO – December 2, 2015: The Walsh Group welcomes Paul Carter to its professional staff as Senior Vice President/Senior Business Group Leader of the Southeast Region. Paul will be responsible for pursuing new business, project execution, and expanding the company’s transportation brand in the Southeast United States.
Walsh’s Chief Operating Officer David Casey says, "We are excited to welcome Paul to the Walsh family. His experience delivering projects in the Southeast transportation market has made him an influential leader in the region, and he will provide a significant advantage for Walsh in this evolving marketplace."
Paul's career spans over 20 years, beginning as a field engineer and working his way into senior leadership positions. As an executive for Kiewit, Paul was previously responsible for construction operations in the Southeast United States and Eastern Canada. He oversaw a multitude of high-profile highway, bridge, airport, tunnel, power plant, rail, and hydro projects.
Additionally, Paul serves as a Member of the Myers-Lawson School of Construction Board, as well as the Center for Innovation in Construction Safety and Health at Virginia Tech. He is an active member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, and in 2012, he completed the Advanced Management Program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
