Palos Health Unveils State-of-the-Art Campus Expansion
ORLAND PARK, IL - Cutting edge imaging, laboratory technology, comprehensive cancer care, outpatient surgery center (opening Fall 2018) and outpatient clinics are among the features of the new 83,000-square-foot expansion at Palos Health's South Campus.
Built by Walsh Construction and designed by HED, the expansion project is part of partnership between Palos Health and Loyola Medicine. The expansion has a 25,000 square foot specialty and primary care clinic that features 47 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, an X-ray area and space for other medical services.
Outpatient surgery has been added to the hospitals services through a 17,000 square foot surgery center that will open this fall, along with four operating rooms and 15 preoperative and postoperative rooms.
A 13,000 square foot radiation oncology center will house Illinois’ first MRIdian cancer radiation system, which delivers MRI imaging and targets tumors with millimeter precision. The building will also include 10,000 square feet of additional space that can be used for future expansion.
Additional features of the expansion include state-of-the-art conference space, renovations to Palos Health's Imaging and Lab, and a new rooftop garden.
