Kasie Mathena to manage The Walsh Group's Midwest higher education program
CHICAGO, IL - The Walsh Group has announced that Kasie Mathena has been promoted to Program Manager within its Building Division. Mathena will be directly responsible for managing the firm's higher education market in the Midwest. She will be responsible for establishing management systems, supervising projects and management staff, preconstruction and estimating, design management, value engineering, scheduling and the preparation of quality control programs.
Mathena has more than 20 years of experience and three years with Walsh Construction. In her previous role as Senior Project Manager, she oversaw a collection of renovation work in excess of $120 million at Northwestern University, including the state-of-the-art expansion of Mudd Hall, as well as Trienens Performance Center and Willard Hall residences. Mathena also managed the $70 million Aspire at Discovery Park student housing project and the Innovation Wing addition at Jischke Hall, both on the campus of Purdue University.

Mathena obtained her Masters in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Michigan State University.
