Walsh Construction Raises $80,000 at Charity Golf Outing in Pennsylvania
PITTSBURGH, PA –– Walsh Construction raised over $80,000 at its seventh annual Pennsylvania regional Charity Golf Outing, held June 7, in Farmington, Fayette, Pennsylvania at the Nemicolin Renaissance Resort and Golf Club.
Charity recipients include Rebuilding Pittsburgh Together, St. Anthony School Programs, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh, and the McKenzi Ann Loid Scholarship Fund. The event included 176 golfers, over 40 sponsors and donors and 17 Walsh Construction employees who volunteered to help coordinate the event.
In seven years, the Pennsylvania regional group has contributed $745,000 to various charities as part of its charity golf outings.
“Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers, we have been able to make far-reaching contributions to organizations that serve as key institutions in Pennsylvania,” said Arik Quam, vice president of Walsh Construction's Pennsylvania Heavy Civil Group. “We are delighted that we are able to help raise awareness for these vital causes and make such a positive impact.”
