The Walsh Group names Brian McGinty vice president of its National Building Group East operations
The Walsh Group is pleased to announce that Brian McGinty has been promoted to Vice President within its Building Division.
As Business Group Leader, McGinty will provide oversight and leadership for projects within the company's National Building Group East operations, a market sector that includes federal projects across the eastern part of the United States and Puerto Rico. McGinty's responsibilities will include consultation with owners, monitoring project progress, and supervision and review of management systems and staff. McGinty will be based out of Walsh's Pittsburgh regional office.
“Brian has proven himself to be a steadfast leader within our versatile building program across the eastern regions of the United States, as well as Puerto Rico,” said Mike Whelan, president of The Walsh Group's Building Division. “Whether his teams are constructing hangars in Pittsburgh or military support facilities in Florida, Brian has been a consistent source of guidance and experience for his team members and customers.”
McGinty has more than 24 years of experience and 16 years with Walsh Construction. In his previous role as Regional Operations Manager, McGinty had a leading role in delivering a variety of building projects, most recently the C-17 Two-Bay Hangar for the 911th Airwing at Pittsburgh International Airport, the new air traffic control tower at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, the SOF Advance Skills Training Facility at Fort Bragg, a new federal office building in San Juan, and the P427 Littoral Combat Ship Training Facility in Jacksonville.
McGinty is a graduate of Penn State University, holding a Master of Science in architectural engineering and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.
