Walsh Healthcare Logistics leads relocation of hospital staff into new Ireland Army Health Clinic
FORT KNOX, KENT. - More than 250 staff members have moved into the new Ireland Army Health Clinic at the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC) Fort Knox, Kent., prompting the official opening and commencement of the clinic's health services. Walsh Healthcare Logistics, a Joint Venture with Walsh, LMI and Genesis Planning, provided the initial outfitting and activation services for this project. Walsh Healthcare Logistics partnered with the Health Facility Planning Agency and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville to provide turnkey services for the transition and relocation of staff and equipment into the new 101,000-square-foot clinic. Comprehensive planning efforts centered around more than 8,500 pieces of furniture and fixtures, along with medical equipment that were transitioned, purchased, installed and tested. Walsh Healthcare Logistics also coordinated professional training for all clinic staff.
