The Walsh Group promotes Nick Everson to vice president, will oversee Midwest transportation operations
CHICAGO - The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in the United States, has promoted Nick Everson to Vice President within the company's transportation division.
As Vice President, Everson will provide oversight and leadership for projects within the transportation division's Midwest Region, covering work within Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri and Michigan. His responsibilities will include consultation with owners, monitoring project progress, and supervision and review of management systems and staff.
“Nick has been a consistent leader in our Midwest operations, from highways to bridges to transit,” said David Casey, president of The Walsh Group's transportation division. “He's been excelling throughout his Walsh career, and we are excited to see Nick take on this larger area of responsibility, while continuing to deliver quality projects, profitable results and first-class customer service.”
Nick has more than 18 years of experience at Walsh Construction, and in his previous role as Program Manager, Nick oversaw the planning and execution of a variety of transportation projects. His most recent projects include the BNSF Bridge over I-294 in Hinsdale, Illinois, the McCook Reservoir in McCook, Illinois, the I-294 Mile Long Bridge in Justice, Illinois, Merchants Bridge in St. Louis and multiple projects for the Illinois Tollway Authority, Chicago Department of Aviation and Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
The Walsh Group currently ranks as the third largest transportation contractor in the United States, according to Engineering News-Record. The company performed more than $3 billion worth of transportation-related work in 2020, including highways, bridges and transit projects.
