The Walsh Group welcomes Rob VanGorder as Senior Vice President of West Transportation
CHICAGO - The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in the United States, welcomes Rob VanGorder as Senior Vice President of West Transportation.
VanGorder will provide senior executive leadership over the West region, which includes the firm's current transportation projects in Arizona, California and Washington.
"Rob brings a career’s-worth of success and proven leadership in heavy civil construction," said David Casey, president of The Walsh Group's Transportation Division. "Welcoming Rob as the new senior leader of the West region will provide continued, exceptional direction to our project teams, and will help propel our operations, pursuits and strategies."
VanGorder brings over 28 years of experience in construction and has held senior executive roles in complex heavy civil markets. As a Senior Business Group Leader at The Walsh Group, VanGorder will have senior executive oversight on the region’s transportation responsibilities, including OC Streetcar in Orange County, California, the I-5/Mercer to SR520/Portage Bay Interchange in Seattle and the Hilltop Tacoma Link Extension in Tacoma, Washington.
VanGorder is a former Army Officer and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy of West Point. Additionally, Rob serves on the Career Advisory Team for the West Point Association of Graduates, and he was a past committee chair for the Boy Scouts of America.
