The Walsh Group promotes Blayne Goodman to Vice President of Southern California Water
Chicago, Illinois - The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in the United States, is pleased to announce the promotion of Blayne Goodman to Vice President and Business Group Leader within the company's Water Division.
As Vice President, Goodman will provide oversight and leadership for water and wastewater projects in the Southern California region. His responsibilities will include consultation with owners, monitoring project progress, and supervision and review of management systems and staff.
"Blayne is leading a program to combat the implications of America’s water shortage issues and reverse the trends in southern California,” said Chief Operations Officer Duane Petersen. “Blayne has led a collection of projects that are reestablishing a precious resource for communities, while also strengthening our reputation as the top water builder in the region."
Goodman has more than 23 years of experience and 16 years in the Water Division with The Walsh Group. In his previous role as Program Manager, Goodman oversaw projects that are using new technologies and systems to treat, gather, recycle and deliver water to the residents of Southern California. These projects include the $70 million Arcadia Water Treatment Plant Expansion and $65 million Hyperion Advanced Water Purification Facility in Los Angeles, $79 million Plant 3A at the Temecula Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility, $40 million Valley Sanitary District Recycled Water Project in Indio and the $13 million water reclamation plant aeration improvements in Valencia.
The Walsh Group, operating as Walsh Construction and Archer Western Construction, is one of the largest water treatment plant as wastewater treatment plant builders in the United States. In 2022, Engineering News-Record Magazine ranks The Walsh Group as the No. 1 Water Treatment Plant Builder and the No. 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant Builder.
