The Walsh Group promotes Luke Lowney to Vice President of Northern California/Pacific Water
Chicago, Illinois - The Walsh Group, one of the largest builders of water treatment and wastewater treatment plants in the United States, has announced the promotion of Luke Lowney to Vice President and Business Group Leader within the company's Water Division.
As Vice President, Lowney will provide oversight and leadership for water and wastewater projects in the Northern California and Pacific regions. His responsibilities will include consultation with owners, monitoring project progress, and supervision and review of management systems and staff.
"Luke has shown clear leadership across the Northern California market during his tenure as Program Manager and beyond,” said Duane Petersen, Chief Operations Officer for The Walsh Group's Water Division. “His project teams in San Francisco, San Jose and across the area are delivering safe, high-quality and profitable results that are elevating our practice and satisfying our customers. We are excited to welcome Luke into this next phase of leadership."
Lowney has more than 20 years of water/wastewater treatment plant experience and 18 years with Archer Western Construction. He spent the last five years as program manager, responsible for delivering the $121 million Digested Sludge Dewatering Facility and the $178 million Digester/Thickener Facilities Upgrades at the San Jose-Santa Clara Wastewater Treatment Plant, the $540 million Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant in San Francisco and the $277 million Sunnyvale Secondary Treatment and Dewatering Project.
