I-69 Finish Line team signs beam for I-69/I-465 Interchange
Indianapolis, Indiana - Walsh Construction and joint venture partner Milestone Contractors joined Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb, INDOT Commissioner Mike Smith, and members of the I-69 Finish Line project team to sign one of the final steel bridge girders that will be placed to form the I-69/I-465 system interchange, part of the I-69 Finish Line Project. Once complete, the interchange will connect I-69 to I-465 and allow traffic to flow freely between the two corridors. This will have a positive impact on the region’s economic stability, opening new growth opportunities for the State of Indiana, and will provide a quicker, safer commute for motorists.
In 2024, most project activity will focus on construction of the new interchange, I-69 mainline paving north of Southport Road, westbound travel lanes on I-465 between I-65 and I-70, and reconstruction of the I-465 westbound bridges over the White River and Harding Street.
