Designed as a 'fuel cell hangar,' this facility boasts unique attributes that prioritize the well-being of maintainers while optimizing maintenance operations. With its capacity to accommodate the largest aircraft in the Air Force inventory, such as the C-5M Super Galaxy, the hangar represents a significant asset for Dover AFB. Moreover, it stands as a testament to the base's adaptability and readiness in the face of evolving strategic challenges. As the first hangar constructed at Dover AFB in over four decades and the sole facility capable of servicing both C-17s and C-5s, this achievement highlights the base's pivotal role in supporting the Air Force's mission objectives and ensuring readiness for future operations.
