This LEED Silver-certified project created a 440,000-square-foot federal government office building for the GSA. The project included construction and complete build-out of core and shell, tenant improvements, site work, retail shell and parking garage. The scope of work included three office wings connected by a common enclosed atrium space with continuous overhead skylight, an underground parking structure for approximately 200 vehicles, a shipping/receiving loading dock area, separate employee and visitor entrance screening areas, a sunken garden, and a “garden wall” enclosing structure along its northern and western boundaries. A three-story landscaped and arcaded crescent inscribes the northern and western boundaries, enclosing a 4,500-square-foot internal garden and serving as an invisible security barrier.
