This 2.7-mile trail along an elevated unused rail line ties together the Chicago neighborhoods of Logan Square, Bucktown, Humboldt Park and Wicker Park. The trail includes several entry points and connects to several existing ground-level city parks. Work involved the rehabilitation of viaducts and retaining walls of existing elevated freight embankments. This included removal and re-erection of 37 bridge superstructures, modification of existing substructures, steel fabrication and erection, reconstruction of walks and access reaps, grinding and resurfacing adjacent Bloomingdale Ave., and all electrical, drainage and other site improvements.
