This project delivered a tenant build-out for a prototype Target store inside Louis Sullivan’s historic, landmark-protected Carson Pirie Scott building in the heart of Chicago’s retail district. CityTarget, as this new prototype is known, includes 137,000 square feet of retail space on three floors. In addition to interior finishes, terrazzo flooring, walk-in freezers/coolers and extensive MEP upgrades, the project included restoration of 63 landmark-protected, Louis Sullivan-designed column capitals and painting of 52 others.
