Walsh Construction was the lead contractor on five contracts for INDOT as part of the Accelerate I-465 Program near Indianapolis. The projects included the construction of 10 miles of eight-lane-wide interstate reconstruction, four major interchanges, two interstate-to-interstate interchanges and 27 bridges. Self-performed installation of 621,000 square feet of sound wall and 470,000 square feet of mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls along the corridor was included. The project required coordinating and scheduling with more than 20 local Indiana subcontractors.
