The project is the largest transportation infrastructure project in the history of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The design-build-finance project will complete 29.7 miles of reversible managed toll lanes along I-75 and I-575 in Cobb and Cherokee Counties. The proposed improvements extend existing high-occupancy vehicle lanes northward along I-75 and I-575. The project will include 1 million cubic yards of unclassified excavation, 140,000 linear feet of drainage, 315,000 square yards of concrete paving, 280,000 linear feet of concrete barrier, 1.4 million square feet of sound wall, 1 million square feet of bridge deck (39 bridges) and 900,000 square feet of retaining wall.
