The Walsh Group names Steve Kehle Chief Operations Officer within transportation division
CHICAGO, IL - The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in the United States, has announce that Steve Kehle has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer within the company's transportation division.
As Chief Operations Officer, Kehle will provide executive leadership over construction operations across the company’s national transportation market, including bridge, highway and transit projects. As an Executive Officer, Kehle will work in unison with company ownership while consulting with clients, monitoring project progress and reviewing management systems and staff.
"Steve has been at the forefront of our transportation success throughout his career at Walsh," said David Casey, president of The Walsh Group's transportation division. "In this role as Chief Operations Officer, Steve will offer continued executive leadership and guidance to our transportation teams across the United States."
With over 36 years of experience at The Walsh Group, Kehle previously served as Senior Vice President presiding over many high profile and historic project deliveries across the Midwest region. Kehle led Walsh through numerous design-build transportation efforts that have helped to catapult The Walsh Group into one of the nation's largest transportation contractors. Recent major projects under Kehle's leadership include the Ohio River Bridges East End Crossing and Downtown Crossing, I-480 Valley View Bridge in Ohio, I-75 Segment 2 Modernization in Michigan, Zoo Interchange and I-94 North Segment in Wisconsin, I-69 Section 6 in Indiana and the Red-Purple Modernization and I-294 Mile Long Bridge in Illinois.
